I write to build legacy.Storytelling has been part of me since childhood, before I had the language and before I believed I belonged in this space. My work is for children who deserve to feel powerful, soft, loud, grieving, magical, and whole. This is not about chasing trends but building a body of work where our stories exist in full. My middle grade speculative novel The Under follows three kids in East Baltimore who uncover a hidden world beneath their block. I am also the creator of The Crowned Ones series, inspired by the CROWN Act, and I write picture books that celebrate Black family, joy, and tradition.Middle Grade. Picture Books. Community & VisionThis work is about more than books. It is about building something bigger.A children’s literacy program rooted in Baltimore will bring back to school drives, holiday giveaways, and community reading events that remind Black children they matter in real life as much as they do in stories. The long-term vision is a boutique literary agency that centers underrepresented authors, giving a platform to voices with the talent but without the mic. The goal is to open doors, build careers, and shift the industry from the inside.Every story written is part of this mission. Legacy, access, and power are always at the center.
